Q&A

Answers to your most frequent questions

How does the photoshoot work?

Before we start shooting, we meet about half an hour earlier to share a coffee and chat a little: a gentle moment to connect, relax, and ease into the experience.
After this small warm-up, the actual session begins and lasts about 1 hour (mini session) or 2 hours (standard session).
Together we’ll choose the best time to shoot: ideally at sunset if we’re outdoors, or during the moment of the day when the light is at its best if the session takes place in your home.

Where does the session take place?

You can choose to have the session at your home, in a park, by the sea, or in the streets of Bologna or anywhere else you’d like to take me.

By professional choice, I don’t have a studio: I prefer every session to be unique and tailored to you. I have a list of favourite places that I can suggest depending on the situation, and together we’ll find the one that best reflects your story.

What does the service include?

  • Tips to prepare your home and select outfits
  • Choosing the location and the activities to capture
  • Edited photos: 35–40 or 70–90 for Maternity, Family, Love Story and Cinematic Photowalk sessions; 100+ for the Ceremony service
  • Private access to the online gallery for 3 months

What should I wear?

According to your personal style, but following a few tips that improve how things appear in photos:

  • avoid prints or decorations (sequins, logos, flashy patterns)– aim for harmony among all participants
  • choose neutral or pastel colours and natural fabrics depending on the season (linen, cotton, wool…)

In any case, before the session I will send you a small personalised guide.

Do we have to pose?

Absolutely not… but a little bit, yes.
Forget stiff, plastic poses! I will never ask you for forced smiles or unnatural positions, I want you to live the moment for real. I’ll observe you carefully, capturing authentic gestures, glances, and connections.

But my style is also cinematic: through movement, light, and small suggestions, I’ll guide you to experience the scene as if it were a film. The result will be images that are lively, softly blurred in the right places, and expressive telling your story exactly as it is, but with a poetic touch that makes it unique.

What if the weather isn’t on our side?

If your session is outdoors, Bologna offers us a great ally: its porticoes. In light rain, we can use them to create intimate and atmospheric shots, sheltered but full of charm.

For the more adventurous couples, rain can become a wonderful companion: wet clothes, messy hair, spontaneous laughter… real moments that look like they came out of a movie.

But if rain really isn’t for you, no problem: we’ll reschedule the session for another day so you can feel completely at ease.

Can I gift a photoshoot?

Of course! A photoshoot is one of the most precious gifts you can give: it’s not an object, but a memory that lasts forever.
For this reason, I created my Gift Card, which you can offer to whoever you like.
